WBRR may grant to Kazakhstan $175 million before the end of 1999

/IRBIS, Nov.12, 99/ - According to REUTERS, which cites Kioshy Kodera, the director of WBRR in Kazakhstan, Kirghizia and Turkmeniston, the World bank can grant to Kazakhstan two credits to the total sum of $175 million before the end of the current year. "The main condition of the transhes opening, which is provided by the WBRR Board, is that Kazakhstan activity should completely coincided with the IMF program", - Kioshy said at today's press conference. $75 million from these two loans will be directed to the structural transformations of the state resource management, $100 million - to the pension reform. The Government of Kazakhstan is in great need of the loans. It hopes to use them for the budget deficiency redemption, including of about 20 billion tenges of the pensions indebtedness. The Director has told, that WBRR has completely coordinated its work in Kazakhstan with IMF.
