STATISTICS: Volume of transactions in Non-state Securities on KASE in October - $751,800

/IRBIS, Nov.02, 99/ - In October, 1999 on the Kazakhstan stock exchange 46 transactions on a total sum of $751,800 were made in Non-state Securities. In comparison with the previous month number of transaction has increased by 58.6% (from 29), volume in money terms has grown 4.4 times (from $171,900). The volume of transaction has made for the analyzed period 382,943 shares, compared to 122,871 shares in the last month. The common shares of JSC SHNOS (SYRG, official list of securities, category "A" were most liquid. The simple and preference shares of JSC KAZAHMYS (KZMS and KZMSp, official list of securities, category "B") were also traded on the market actively. 11 trades from 20 conducted were productive. In September the productivity was practically the same - 11 from 22 sessions. 40 transactions were conducted by the brokers in KASE Quoted System excluding automatic satisfaction of the counter auction applications (so- called direct transactions). Other transactions were made in the basic mode of KASE Trade System. It is necessary to note, that in September all transaction on KASE were direct, that is the trade in Non-state Security, as such, was absent.
