USD/KZT at the day closing - 140.35/45 (indicators)

/IRBIS, Oct.27, 99/ - According to REUTERS, at the moment of October 27 Kazakhstan's OTC-market closing tenge/dollar quotations has made 140.35/45 tenge per dollar at the average weighted exchange rate of 140.32 (-0.21) and session closing quotations of 140.30/31. By the dealers interbank quotations, tenge as against of the previous day closing increased by 10 points on demand and by 15 points on supply. The dollar quotations in the interbank market of Kazakhstan after Exchange trade closing grown insignificantly, but after 1:00 p.m. Almaty time till day closing remained practically without changes. The dealers did not quote dollar after 4:00 p.m. Almaty time. In opinion of the IRBIS experts, it can be explained by the uncertainty of the market tendencies. The spreads after dinner varied from 4 to 15 points at average 9 and without any differences in comparison with the yesterday's. The maximum was fixed at 2:00 p.m. Almaty time, after one hour after ending of growth of quotations. Quotations of the interbank overnight tenge deposits continued to reduce within the day and at the day closing made 7/12%. The short money demand remains low. Some activity in the KASE's repo sector was observed, where the banks of the second tier attracted money for one day at 7.5% p.a., for 2 days - at 14.0% p.a. Most likely, it was caused by large volume of the Tuesday's MEKAVM-6 placement. Money for these bonds should be received by the emitter on Thursday morning. The IRBIS agency reminds, that in the current week volume of the internal debt redemption will reach 5,049.3 million tenges. Such sum is capable to influence a dollar rate. Today investors receive 210.0 million tenges for 234th МЕККАМ-3 issue, tomorrow - tenge equivalent of $23.8 million (KZ46L2810995, KZ43L2810992). Therefore tenge on Thursday's trades has reasonable chance to decrease. The session should open highly, than all will depend on volume of the dollar supply. The IRBIS forecast on Thursday: small dollar strengthening on KASE. Taking into account the further arrivals of tenge on the market, this tendency can be saved on Friday.
