USD/KZT at the day closing - 140.50/70 (indicators)

/IRBIS, Oct.19, 99/ - According to REUTERS, at the moment of October 19 Kazakhstan's OTC-market closing tenge/dollar quotations has made 140.50/70 tenge per dollar at the average weighted exchange rate of 140.80 (+0.22) and session closing quotations of 140.70/74. By the dealers interbank quotations, tenge as against of the previous day closing increased by 30 points on demand and by 20 points on supply. After exchange trades closing quotations changed without expressed tendency. On a demand they oscillated nearly 140.40/5 tenges per dollar, on supply were more stable. At that they were all time below then Exchenge's parameters. Spreads grown a little bit in comparison with the yesterday's - 10 to 30 points at the average of 19. The overnight interbank tenge deposits rates after 3 times decreasing by 6 p.m. were stable and at the day closing made 5% p.a. (demand) / 15% p.a.(supply). Short money in the repo sector were attracted only for one day at 10.29% p.a. The technical market indicators do not allow to make an univocally prognosis for Wednesday. Most likely, that the exchange trades in US dollar on KASE will open tomorrow highly, but than dollar decrease will be observed. According to the IRBIS analysts opinion, tenge and dollar have approximately equal chances to rise or to decrease by some points.
