/IRBIS, Sep.30, 99/ - According REUTERS at the day closing of OTC market of Kazakhstan on September 30 tenge/dollar quotations have made 140.15/35 tenge per dollar at the average weighted rate of 140.11 (-0.41) and closing session quotations of 139.86/140.03. By the interbank dealers quotations, tenge against closing of the previous day both on dollar demand and supply increased by 25 points. At the same time, in relation to the today's exchange closing dollar increased a little that was appreciable in second half of day. The spreads of the interbank quotations varied from 10 to 25 points at average 15. There were no essential changes in comparison with Wednesday. At day closing the rates of the overnight interbank tenge deposits made 25% (demand) and 45% (supply), they were very similar to the yesterday's. In the KASE's repo sector the agiotage decreased a little and 12 and 13 days money were traded today. The demand for short money is still great, but by evening it started to weaken under an influence of State Securities redemption. The banks' liquidity is restoring, that, in opinion of the IRBIS analysts, was the main reason of evening dollar strengthening. Market indicators testify, that on Friday the trades on KASE, most likely, will open above than 140.10 tenge per dollar. As to the further course of trades, it is impossible now to make an unequivocal forecast. According to one script dollar will somewhat rise against tenge pushed by a release of the banks resources in the beginning of a new quarter and by the money from State Securities redemption. Under other trades can pass at the minimum changes. Much will depend on dollar supply and on banks sentiments. In opinion of the IRBIS analysts, Friday will be an "revelation day", when the banks or will confirm the forecast of head bank and will work with State Securities, or deny it trying to turn the dollar rate trend upwards due to the restored solvency.
