Kazakhtelecom (Kazakhstan) purchases 100% stake in MaxCom

/KASE, May 2, 13/ – JSC "Kazakhtelecom" (Astana), whose securities are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has by an official letter informed KASE of the following: quote JSC "Kazakhtelecom" (hereinafter – the Company) herewith informs you of concluding a transaction involving the purchase of a 100% stake in the share capital of LLP "MaxCom". Following decision No. 12 of the Board of Directors of JSC "Kazakhtelecom" of November 12, 2012 a transaction involving the purchase of a 100% stake in the share capital of LLP "MaxCom" with B. Safi was approved. According to the purchase-sale agreement, the value of the underlying assets cannot be disclosed. The value of the underying assets does not exceed 10% of the total value of the Company's assets. The date of the most recent valuation of the underlying assets is September 1, 2012. The transaction date is November 21, 2012. The company renders services of local telephone communication, data transmission, mobile teleciommunications in 17 cities of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
