/IRBIS, Aug.25, 99/ - According to REUTERS, at closing of over-the-counter foreign exchange market of Kazakhstan on August 23 tenge quotations towards US dollar have made 131.64 (demand) / 131.74 (supply) tenge per dollar with the weighted average Exchange's price of 131.65 (+0.08) and the quotes at closing of the Exchange's session of 131.65 / 131.67.

Based on dealers' over-the-counter market quotations, tenge lost 2 points against American currency on demand and 4 points on supply compared to yesterday's closing.

At the end of the day dollar price was lower the Exchange's weighted average on demand by 1 point, and on supply higher by 9 points.

Spreads on the over-the-counter market varied from 6 to 10 points, 8 points on average.

At closing of the over-the-counter market dollar quotations on demand, after a short fall by the middle of the day, bounced back to over-the-counter market opening level.

Tonight quotations for interbank "overnight" tenge deposits were fixed at 4 APR on demand and 6 APR on offer.
