Demand was down at the auction but it did not stop the emitter from placing
6 times more than it was planned and from reducing the yield significantly.
Low interest towards the notes can be explained by increasing interest of the
banks in currency sector of the Exchange. However, considerable amounts
were not involved in the currency exchange today; the banks limited
themselves with speculations and came out of the trades at KASE with
almost zero net position.
IRBIS analysts say that it is still early to talk about trend changes in the
market. Apparently, conjuncture of the primary market for notes will be the
same in the next week.
The National Bank will end the 33rd week at the primary market for notes
with the following results. With planned amount of 400.0 mln tenge the
emitter has attracted 2,399.3 mln tenge, whereas actual redemption value
has made 1,559.7 mln tenge. Week's borrowing balance keeps rising.
