on monetary aggregates as of October 1, 2011.
According to published data, the monetary base (reserve
money) in September 2011 decreased by 0.1% compared with
the previous month and increased by 12.1% since the
beginning of 2011, to KZT 2,883,088 billion. Cash outside of
the National Bank amounted to 1,427,688 billion, deposits of
commercial banks and other organizations in the National
Bank - 1.4554 billion.
The monetary base (in narrow terms) has not changed on a
monthly basis, and increased by 22.3% since the beginning of
2011 to 2,621,530 billion. In this reserve deposits of banks in
the second level in the National Bank amounted to 565,031
billion.
Changes in the following indicators were also indicated: the
value of M0 (currency in circulation) increased over the month
by 0.5% to 1,260,656 billion, M1 - a decrease of 0.8% to
3,704,025 billion, M2 - an increase of 3.1% to 8.0069 million
billion, M3 (money supply) increase by 3.2% to KZT 9,820,950
billion.
