/IRBIS, October 18, 2011/ - Today in Almaty the Sixth Taxation Forum on taxation in Kazakhstan - "Tax competition and Kazakhstan: features, benefits and prospects" was launched.
In the framework of the forum organizers and participants reviewed the advantages and disadvantages of the tax system in Kazakhstan, its location and competitiveness in today's global tax system, as well as prospects for further improvement of the tax legislation of the RK to improve the investment climate and improving the quality of tax administration. "The speakers drew attention to the media and on the existing tax and regulatory barriers to business development and measures to eliminate them by making appropriate changes to the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan", said the organizers of the event.
However, it is noted that as part of panel discussions, the participants of the Forum raised the issue of good faith of the taxpayer and tax abuse, as well as issues of international taxation and the quality of application of Tax Conventions in Kazakhstan.
"According to tax experts, radical revision of the compounds should be subjected to administrative violations in the field of taxation. The laws must be implemented by the principle of proportionality of responsibility for the infringement committed. There must be sound legal, administrative and judicial mechanisms to protect the rights of bona fide taxpayers and non-infringement of their interests at the misdemeanors offenders. In Kazakhstan in 2008 was adopted a liberal tax code favorable to investment, but the quality of tax administration and responsibility along with the existing prosecutorial procedures involving taxpayers' responsibility to continue to deter most investors and entrepreneurs from doing business in Kazakhstan. Participants in the discussion will attempt to discover the current shortcomings of the tax enforcement by the tax authorities and courts, and point to promote their appearance norms of legislation", - was said in a statement.
