On September 1, 2011 the amount of debt of Kazakhstan, issued in the form of government securities together with servicing amounted to KZT3,339.4 billion ($22,808.8 million)

/IRBIS, September 1, 2011/ - On September 1, 2011 public debt of Kazakhstan, issued in the form of government securities (GS), together with the service (the sum of coupon payments) amounted at current prices 3,339.4 billion or equivalent to 22,808.8 million U.S. dollars on the rate of 146.25 tenge per U.S. dollar. This was conclusion of IRBIS specialists in the analysis of their own databases. In conducting this analysis, the amount of future payments and MEUJKAM and MUIKAM calculated taking into account the consumer price index, which was recorded for the period May 2009 to June 2011. From August 01 to 31, 2011 total debt fell by 123.2 billion tenge (- 3.6%) or in dollar terms - by $ 885.4 million (-3.7%). In July 2011, total debt decreased by 128.8 billion (-3.6%) or in dollar terms - by $ 862.7 million (-3.5%). According to information available to the IRBIS, the volume of GS from National Bank of Kazakhstan in Aug 2011 on the amounts of placement was 117,440.1 million tenge (in Jul 2011 - 183,618.9 million tenge). The issuer redeemed the notes to the amount of 299,541.6 million tenge (Jul - 345,372.6 million tenge). Thus, the August surplus net borrowing of National Bank on the government securities market amounted to minus 182,101.5 million tenge. The corresponding figure in July 2011 - minus 161,753.7 million tenge ("minus" sign in the exponent of balance means that the amount was withdrawn from the budget of the issuer and has remained among investors, "plus" - for that amount the issuer has taken longer than repaid). Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan has attracted over the period 51,700.0 million tenge (in Jul 2011 - 42,065.0 million tenge), but paid the par value of bonds and the coupon of 28,655.2 million tenge (in July - 40,842.5 million tenge). The August surplus net borrowing in the Ministry of Finance is estimated at plus 23,044.8 million tenge (in July of 2011 - plus 6,019.0 million tenge). In August 2011 the total net borrowing balance of Kazakh issuers of GS was estimated by IRBIS as minus 159,056.7 mln. The corresponding figure in July 2011 is minus 155,734.7 mln.
