Trade deficit of the UK increased in December 2010

/IRBIS, February 9, 2011/ - Britain's trade deficit in December 2010 compared with the previous month increased and amounted to 9.25 billion pounds (10.9 billion euros). These data are presented in a report released today by the National Statistical Service of Great Britain. In November 2010 the trade deficit, according to revised data, totaled 8.46 billion pounds (10 billion euros). Previously reported that deficit was 8.736 billion pounds. The volume of imports of goods in the UK in December 2010 amounted to 33.435 billion pounds (39.5 billion euros), while exports - 24.188 billion pounds (28.59 billion euros). Given the import/export services trade deficit of the UK in December 2010 totaled 4.8 billion pounds (5.67 billion euros) against the revised November's deficit at 3.9 billion pounds.
