/KASE, January 14, 11/ - By shares trading results on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange
(KASE) on January 14, 2011, KASE index increased by 16.43 points (0.93 %) from
1,775.98 to 1,792.41.
The first deal fixed index at 1,775.24. During the trades the maximum value
made up 1,793.90, the minimum - 1,775.24.
Volume of deals in shares, included to the index representative list, on
January 14 against the previous trading day in tenge decreased by 35.2 % in
tenge and made up KZT113.0 m (USD768.0 th.).

The KASE Index shows a change in prices of the index representative list stocks
for calculation of the index, with account to capitalization of such issuers and
a number of such stocks in free float. One stock weight must not exceed 15 %.
The KASE Index is calculated during a trading day as deals in the representative
list stocks are concluded. If during a trading day no deals are made in a
representative list stock, then for purposes of such calculation results of the
last resultant trade session are used.
