Number of applications for unemployment benefits dropped in USA

/IRBIS, October 29, 2010/ - In the U.S., the number of initial applications for
unemployment benefits last week, which ended Oct. 23, 2010, compared to
the same period previous week declined and reached 434,000. These data
are released on Oct. 28 U.S. Department of Labor (US Department of Labor).
According to some data, the number of initial applications for unemployment
benefits last week, which ended Oct. 16, 2010, totaled 455,000, but not
452,000 as previously reported.
Average number of initial applications for unemployment insurance in the U.S.
for four weeks (to 23 October this year) was 453,250, down 5,500 compared
with the refinement of the indicators for the previous four-week period, fixed at
458,750.
