Results of the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan for the first half of 2010

/IRBIS, July 21, 2010/ - July 20 in Almaty government held a meeting to
discuss the results of socio-economic development of the city for six months
of 2010. The meeting was chaired by mayor of the city Mr. Akhmetzhan
Yesimov.
As indicated, the budget of the city of Almaty in 2010 amounts to a total of
KZT279.8 billion actually has a budget of the city - KZT213.5 billion.
Since the beginning of the year produced products to KZT174.1 billion, the
volume index was 126.8%. In the industry for the past few months have seen
significant growth. For the 6 months production growth compared to the same
period last year amounted to 26.8%. Also grew, food production, beverages,
textiles, paper, leather products, electrical equipment, other transportation
products, etc.
Following six months of guaranteed employment 18.2 thousand (73%), local
content is about 80% of taxes paid by almost 50% of the planned amount.
Number of registered unemployed amounted to 4,828 people, which is 15%
less than the same period last year.
Economic entities of small and medium-sized businesses in January - June
2010 produced products works and services to KZT245.9 billion, or 11.2%
over the corresponding period last year. The number of employed amounted
to 254.4 thousand people, with an increase of 5.6%.
The volume of retail trade grew by 7%. Wholesale trade there is almost at the
level of last year. Inflation so far this year amounted to 4.2%, which is 0.4
percentage points lower than same period in 2009.
Registered 79.2 thousand small businesses, growth rate - 108.1%. The index
number of small and medium enterprises per 1 000 inhabitants in the city of
Almaty is the highest in the republic and is - 31.
To finance the activities of the Roadmap for 2010 allocated funds amounting
to KZT11.4 billion, including from the national budget - KZT7.9 billion, the
local budget - KZT3.5 billion.
Investment in fixed capital since the beginning of the year formed in the
amount of KZT152.1 billion, which is 94.7% against the same period in 2009.
With limited budgetary resources, active work is underway to attract extra
investment. One such mechanism is the production of municipal securities. It
is currently completing alignment with the Government the issue in 2010
akimat of Almaty municipal bonds amounting to KZT13 billion.
Proceeds from the placement of five year bonds will be used to finance
current budget deficits. In this case, given the need to return these funds,
priority will be given to profitable projects.
As of July 1, 2010 in the state budget collected KZT339.7 billion tax revenue
that sostavlyaet103, 7% to the forecast. Income from the national budget
amounted to KZT253 billion (102.9% to the forecast), the local - KZT86.8
billion (105.8% to the forecast).
