Currency traded value grows 21.4 %, reaches KZT4.9 trln (USD33.3 bn)

/KASE, June 3, 10/ - In the first five months of 2010 currency traded value on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swaps, reached KZT4,901.4 bn (USD33,290.7 m) and grew on a year-to-year basis 21.4 % (15.5 % in dollar terms). As compared with the previous five-month period (August - December 2009) traded value grew 4.2 % (6.2 % in dollar terms). The tenge strengthened against the dollar 2.86 % APR. In the first five months of Y2010 the tenge revalued to the dollar 1.19 % in nominal terms.
