/IRBIS, April 7, 2010/ - First Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Andrey Klyuyev believes
that to date enough chances to resume the flow of Kazakh oil through Ukraine,
reported today, - RIA Novosti reports referring to the Ukrainian UNIAN news
agency.
As reported, KazTransOil, supplying oil to Eastern Europe on the southern
branch of the Druzhba pipeline transiting through Ukraine, said it plans to change
the route of transportation because of the conflict with the Ukrainian pipeline
operator Ukrtransnafta. In KazTransOil explained that the decision was taken
after the JSC Ukrtransnafta written notification of termination from January 26,
2010 agreement on transporting Kazakh oil through Ukraine. Later, the company
does not rule out that the transit of oil will continue on the Ukrainian route.
"This issue will just be seen today during the visit of Viktor Yanukovych in
Kazakhstan ... The fact that Ukraine will start to bleed again Kazakh oil through
its territory - a very good chance" - said Klyuyev.
Arguing hope for a positive solution to this problem, Vice Prime Minister stressed
that Ukraine had already settled the tariff policy. "If the benefits to swing, it
will rock," - said Klyuyev.
Today President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych arrived in Astana on official visit.
Agenda of the visit of Yanukovich in Kazakhstan is practically not been
announced.
According to RIA Novosti during a visit with the president of Kazakhstan will be
discussed gas supplies.
"The fact that the gas will be discussed in Astana, Yanukovych said on the eve of
the visit during a meeting with Prime Minister Mykola Azarov. They discussed the
problem of preparing the budget, which is" bursting at the seams "because of too
heavy price of blue fuel", - news agency reported today.
