Brief results of social and economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 7 monthS, 2009

/IRBIS, August 17, 09/ - The Agency of Statistic of the Republic of Kazakhstan (the Agency) published today on its official website (www.stat.kz) the information about the results of social and economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 7 months, 2009 In June of 2008, according to the data of Agency, average per capita nominal money incomes of population were equal to KZT33,844 increased in comparison with June of 2008 by 8.3 %, real money incomes - by 0.7%. Average monthly salary charged to employees in June of 2009 equaled to KZT68,901 and increased in comparison with June of 2008 by 9.4%. Real salary increased by 101.6 % Consumer prices index in June of 2009 in comparison with December of 2008 equaled to 104.1%. Prices for foodstuffs rose by 3.3%, nonfoods - by 5.1%, paid services - by 4.1%. Prices of enterprises-producers of industrial production rose in June in comparison with December of 2008 - by 13.3 %. Volume of gross domestic product, according to on-line data, in January- September of 2009 equaled in current prices to KZT6,446.3. Decrease of real GDP in comparison with similar period of 2008 was 2.3 %. Stake of goods production in the structure of GDP was 39 % of GDP, services 61.3 %. Volume of investments into the main capital in January-June of 2009 equaled to KZT2,203.8 bn. that was more by 7.0% than last similar period. Foreign trade turnover (according to custom statistics data excluding unorganized trade) in January-June of 2009 equaled to USD30,368.4 m. and increased in comparison with January-June of 2008 by 41.8 %, including export - USD17,173.0 m. (decreased by 51.0%), import - USD13,195.4 m. (decreased by 22.8 %). The volume of industrial production on the basis of 7 months of 2009 amounted to KZT4,432.4 bn. on current prices, which is by 2.1 % lower than in January-July 2008. The decline observed in the manufacturing industry (90.3%), production and distribution of electricity, gas and water (94%). In the mining industry production increased by 3.2%. Volume of inflows to the State budget of the Republic of Kazakhstan as of June 1 of 2009 equaled to KZT1,702.5 bn. expenses and crediting - KZT1,797.7 bn. budget deficit - KZT95.2 bn. Inflows increased by 6.4%, outflows - by 5.0 % in comparison with the corresponding period last year. Financial result for the first quarter was determined as income in the amount of KZT317.1 bn. that was less by 73.1% than for the first quarter of 2008. Profitability level equaled to 8.8%. Stake of loss enterprises equaled to 50.8% of total number of reported enterprises. Credit investments of second tier banks in economic branch, as of June of 2009 were equal to KZT8,109.2 bn which is higher by 11.9 % than last similar period. Stake of long-term credits in total volume of credit investments was 82.5%, stake of credits in foreign currency - 52.5%. Volume of deposits in the banking system was equal to KZT5,967.5 bn. that was more by 34.8 % than as of June of 2008, including deposits of population correspondingly KZT1,606.7 bn. increased by 10.6 %.
