/KASE, July 7, 09/ - KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (Astana), a company listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), issued a statement: Quotation beginning JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production ("the Company" or "KMG EP") announces that pursuant to the Share Buy Back Programme commenced on 24 November, 2008, on July 3, 2009 the Company acquired 25,000 global depository receipts ("GDR") on the London Stock Exchange at an average price USD19.4372 a GDR, on July 6, 2009 - 25,000 GDRs at an average price USD19.10 a GDR. Since the start of the Share Buy Back Programme, the Company has purchased in aggregate 7,251,697 GDRs and 109,481 common shares.
