/KASE, June 1, 09/ - Government securities (GS) trades volume during initial five months of 2009 on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange* made up KZT397.4 bn (equivalent of USD2,712.7 m) and increased relative to the similar period of 2008 by 27.3 % (by 4.6 % in USD).

In comparison with the previous three month period (August-December 2008) the trades volume decreased by 24.8 % (by 38.3 % in USD).
