ATFBank (Kazakhstan) appeals to Kazakhstan Government and National wellbeing fund Samruk-Kazyna, asks for additional tranche to refinance mortgage loans

/KASE, May 13, 09/ - ATFBank (Almaty), securities of which are listed on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), provided KASE with a press release: Quotation beginning National wellbeing fund Samruk-Kazyna allotted KZT3 bn. for refinancing of mortgage loans. According to the Agreement between the Fund and ATFBank the funds must be completely disbursed before June 2009. ATFBank (04.05.09) disbursed KZT3 bn. of the allotted funds ahead of schedule. The funds were used to refinance credits of 617 bank clients. However, clients keep filing requests for refinancing of loans. Currently a pool of requests KZT700 m. worth is approved and requests for KZT2.3 bn. are being under consideration. This is why ATFBank sent a letter appealing to the Government, the Fund and People's Democratic Party Nur-Otan, asking an additional tranche KZT3 bn. worth be provided to refinance mortgage loans. ATFBank promised to disburse the sum in the nearest future should it be allotted to the bank.
