The head of the fund Samruk-Kazyna - the state is wiling to provide funding for breakthrough projects of ENRC and Kazakhmys

/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Astana, January 14, 09/ - The Government is interested in implementation of breakthrough projects, planned by Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation and Kazakhmys, and may provide funding, Kairat Kelimbetov, the Chairman of the Board of the National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna informed. "We are interested in continuation of three projects, which were announced by Kazakhmys и ENRC before crisis. We are ready to provide funding both from the National Fund and export crediting" - he said on the press conference on Wednesday in Astana. "There is so called export crediting, when we construct some plants and equipment or service of Russian or China producers may finance at the expense of their financial institutions" - he explained. "Today we conduct such work with state development bank of China, with Eximbank China, Vnesheconombank and development bank of RF and Sberbank" - he also added. Along with this, answering the question on necessity in complete capitalization of above mentioned mining companies, K. Kelimbetov announced that "ENRC и Kazakhmys didn't apply to the Fund Samruk- Kazyna". Kazakhmys и ENRC - are the largest mining companies in republic, their shares are circulating on London and Kazakhstan Stock Exchanges. National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna - is a sate holding company, possessing and managing national companies in various economy fields, including oil and gas, telecommunication, transport and national development institutions. National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna JSC was created in October, 2008 by means of merger Kazakhstan holding on state assets management Samruk and state fund of sustainable development Kazyna.
