/REUTERS, Almaty, October 14, 2008/ - Output of copper in Kazakhstan within the period of January - September of 2008 decreased by 1.0 %, compared to the similar period of the previous year, to 294.254 tones, the Statistics Agency informed.

Non-processed zinc production within the same period increased by 2.6 % to 273.169 tons. Production of alumina increased by 11.3 % and made 1.279 m. tons.
