Nearest oil futures prices surge by 4.49 % - 4.55 % on major world trading floors

/IRBIS, Dinara Mukasheva, October 14, 08/ - By the results of trades of
October 13 this year:
- on NYMEX (New York) the price of Light Sweet Crude Oil mixture with
delivery in November 2008 increased by 4.49 % to $81.19 per barrel;
- on ICE (London) price of November Brent Forties Oseburg futures grew
by 4.55 % to $77.46 per barrel
By the results of Monday trades oil grew as the heads of 15 European
countries adopted a joint action plan to fight global financial crisis. The plan
provisions government insurance of inter-bank loans, support of ailing
financial organizations and partial nationalization of banks.
Besides, the Great Britain government willingness to finance Royal Bank of
Scotland, HBOS and Lloyds TSB provided investors with grounds for
optimism. The volume of funds is 37 bn. pound sterling. The government
will also provide 50 bn. pound sterling for redemption of preferred shares of
eight major banks of the country.
