The head of National Bank - Kazakhstan banks has not problems with liquidity

/REUTERS, Almaty, Maria Gordeeva, September 16, 08/ - Kazakhstan banks doesn't have problems with liquidity, the head of National Bank Anvar Saidenov announced on Tuesday. "Our banks haven't liquidity problems" - he said to journalists on press conference. This spring international rating agency Standard & Poor's announced that Kazakhstan banks should pay $14 bn. foreign debt this year and most part of this sum can't be refinanced because of increased value of borrowings and problems with contractors. According to the agency, it may result in decline on internal credit market, notwithstanding Government's efforts on providing liquidity to banking sector. [2008-09-16]
