/REUTERS, Almaty, August 18, 2008/ - Output of copper in Kazakhstan within the period of January - July of 2008 decreased by 9.5 %, compared to the similar period of the previous year, to 216.446 tones, the Statistics Agency informed.

Non-processed zinc production within the same period increased by 0.6 % to 214.301 tons. Production of alumina increased by 11.2 % and made 989.928 tons.
