The data in the table are based on information of COMEX (Commodity Exchange
of New York, a concern of NYMEX), except for prices on chrome (Hong Kong
Exchange) and ferrochrome (Pittsburg storage). The data of different Internet-
resources have been used to compile the table.
USD/lb means price in USD per pound of main metal, USD/oz means price in
USD per troy ounce.
According to Market Markets, gold prices increased due to anxieties on conflict
escalation between Iran and USA with Israel. It led to so called "escape to
quality", when investors try to invest their assets in safer assets (gold is
traditional asset).
