The data in the table are based on information of COMEX (Commodity Exchange
of New York, a concern of NYMEX), except for prices on chrome (Hong Kong
Exchange) and ferrochrome (Pittsburg storage). The data of different Internet-
resources have been used to compile the table.
USD/lb means price in USD per pound of main metal, USD/oz means price in
USD per troy ounce.
According to Metals Market, aluminum and lead prices have increased. The reason
is a lack of energy on China manufacturers, which will entail cutting down
deliveries to USA.
Precious metals prices also have risen. In particular, August futures on gold
in COMEX have grown by $5.40 to $928.40 per troy ounce. October futures on
platinum have increased by $19.10 to $1,972 per troy ounce.
