The data in the table are based on information of COMEX (Commodity Exchange of New York, a concern of NYMEX), except for prices on chrome (Hong Kong Exchange) and ferrochrome (Pittsburg storage). The data of different Internet- resources have been used to compile the table.
USD/lb means price in USD per pound of main metal, USD/oz means price in USD per troy ounce.
According to Metals Market, copper prices decreased by 10% to $3.88 per pound. The reason is appreciation of US dollar and finishing of miners` strikes in Peru.
Precious metals prices also fell. Thus, August futures on gold in COMEX fell by $4.80 to $928.80 per troy ounce. Prices on September futures on silver fell to $17.92 per troy ounce and October futures on platinum - to $1,983.80 per troy ounce.
