/REUTERS, Almaty, May 15, 2008/ - Output of copper in Kazakhstan within the period of January - April of 2008 decreased by 17.5 %, compared to the similar period of the previous year, to 117.821 tones, the Statistics Agency informed.

Non-processed zinc production within the same period decreased by 2.6 % to 122.254 tons. Production of alumina increased by 10.2 % and made 554.944 m. tons.
