KASE draws attention that the activity ranking of operators of the exchange share
market, provided in the tables, is compiled according to a new methodology.
The methodology text will be published soon at the exchange website. The core
of the methodology is the following.
The company rank is determined by the value of a so-called activity indicator
(Ka), which is calculated for each member of the exchange. The first rank
corresponds to the maximum Ka value.
For operators of the share market this indicator is calculated according to the
formula Ka = 0,8*V + N + D + A, where:
V - is the indicator of the volume of the deals with shares, concluded by the
rated exchange member during the analyzed period at the secondary market of KASE
by method of open trades; V = Vi / Vmax, where Vi - the volume of the deals,
concluded the rated company during the period, Vmax - the largest volume of the
deals, concluded by a KASE member during the same period (without account of
the deals of the National Bank);
N - is the indicator of number of the deals in shares, concluded the rated
exchange member during the analyzed period at the secondary market of KASE
by method of open trades; N = Ni / Nmax, where Ni - is number of the deals,
concluded by the rated company during the period, Nmax - the largest number of
the deals, concluded by a KASE member during the same period (without
account of the deals of the National Bank);
D - is the indicator of number of the resultant days for the rated exchange
member in the analyzed period (a resultant day is the day during which at least
one deal in shares was concluded by a rated exchange member on the
secondary market of KASE by method of open trades); D = Di / Dmax, where Di
- a number of resultant days in respect of the rated exchange member, D(max) -
is the largest number of resultant days, registered during the analyzed period in
respect of a KASE member;
A - is the indicator of the number of the sub-accounts, used by the rated
exchange member during the analyzed period; A = Ai / Amax, where Ai - is
a number of sub-accounts, which were used by the rated exchange member at
conclusion of deals during the analyzed period, A(max) - is the maximum number
of the sub-accounts used, registered during the analyzed period in respect of a
KASE member
The Vi, Ni, Di, Ai, Vmax, Nmax, Dmax, Amax indicators are specific values,
which means they are calculated as the ratio of the volume of deals (deals
number, resultant days number or sub-accounts number) to the number of days
in the analyzed period, during which the trade participant was an Exchange
member of a certain category. Thus, the dependence of indicator values from the
duration of the rated KASE member operation is leveled.
At that, the deals on STF of RFCA are not to be taken into account by the
Exchange when determining ranking positions.
At the same time, not all KASE category "P" members are ranked. To be ranked,
a company must be a KASE member of the category specified for at least 70 %
(according to the calendar days) of the analyzed period, if the period is less or
equal to three months; at least 60 %, if the period is three to six months; and at
least 50 %, if the analyzed period exceeds that indicated.
