Oil export from Kazakhstan grew by 15.4% in January - August of 2007/06

/REUTERS, Almaty, October 15, 07/ - Oil and gas condensate export from Kazakhstan in January - August of 2007 grew by 15.4%, compared to previous year, to 40.917 m. tones, while the volume of oil production was 44.668 m. tones, Statistics agency informed on Monday.

Volume of oil and gas condensate export in monetary expression increased by 14.9% and reached $17.3 bn.

Overall, Kazakhstan increased export by 22.9% up to $29.377; the trade balance was positive in the amount of $8.6 bn.

The major positions of Kazakhstan export in natural and monetary expressions in comparison with similar indicators of last year are given in the table below:

The main purchasers of Kazakhstan goods within this period of time were Italy - 16.1%, Switzerland - 15.7%, China - 12.5% and Russia - 10.1%.
