KASE determined the leading operators of the exchange's GS purchase-sale sector in September and within the first 9 months of 2007

/IRBIS, Ruslan Dzyubaylo, October 2, 07/ - Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE) determined the list of companies - leading operators of exchange's purchase-sale market for government securities (GS) in Kazakhstan in September 2007.

Companies were ranked according to the stake of deals made by them in total gross turnover of trades (total of purchased and sold bonds) in the secondary market. Position of each participant is expressed in Kazakhstan tenge, only deals, closed by open trades method on KASE, were taken into account.

A total of 15 companies participated in making GS purchase-sale deals on KASE in September. Below is the list of ten most active operators given in descending order of their stakes in total deals volume (companies' headquarters are in Almaty) and their positions in July of the current year. The stake of these operators in September was 66.5% out of the turnover of the exchange GS sector.

Newcomers of the top ten relative to August 2007 became Bank TuranAlem JSC, APF Kazakhmys JSC, Daughter organization of Bank TuranAlem JSC TuranAlem Securities JSC, Temirbank JSC and BCC Invest JSC - daughter organization of Bank CenterCredit JSC, having replaced from top-10:

  • Accumulative pension fund SAPF JSC (Almaty, third position in August),
  • APF Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (Almaty, fifth position);
  • Kazakhstan Bank of Development JSC (Astana, seventh position);
  • PAIMO Bailyk asset management JSC (daughter organization of Eurasian bank JSC) (Almaty, eighth position);
  • Eurasian bank JSC (Almaty, tenth position).

Following is the corresponding table of the most active members of KASE of "K" category within 9 months of 2007. 39 companies participated in deals making within this period.
