/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Astana, July 3, 07/ - Ulbinskiy metallurgic plant (UMP, enters the national atomic company of Kazakhstan Kazatomprom) had started to building of three productions with total cost $848 m., had informed the akim (head of administration) of Eats-Kazakhstan region (EKR) Zhanibek Karibzhanov. UMP is located on the territory of EKR. Ulbinskiy metallurgic plant today had actually started the realization of three projects for the total amount of 848 millions of dollars", - told akim on Tuesday, representing these projects from Ust-Kamenogorsk (administrative center of EKR) by the selector connection to the president of country Nursultan Nazarbayev. By information of Z.Karibzhanov, on UMP, in particular is started the building of production hexo-ftoride of uranium and heat-evolution assembling, which "will let to enclose the full cycle of production of nuclear fuel in Kazakhstan and provide the atomic reactors of third generation with fuel". "Also on UMP is realizing the project of production of beryllium-containing materials, which will find the wide usage in production of thermonuclear reactors and also in aero-space branch", - the akim of EKR stressed. "Also today we had laid the capsule of start of realization the project of building the tantalum production, which will start the work in the end of year 2007", - Z.Karibzhanov had noted.
