Oil export from Kazakhstan grew by 32.5% within January 2007/06

/REUTERS, Almaty, March 12, 07/ - Oil and gas condensate export from
Kazakhstan in January 2007 grew by 32.5% compared to the similar period of
the previous year to 5,052 m. tones, Statistics agency informed.
Volume of oil and gas condensate export in cost expression increased by
42.2% and reached $2,008 bn.
In year 2006 Kazakhstan increased extraction of oil with gas condensate to
64.4 m. tones from 61.9 m. one year before.
The total volume of Kazakhstan export in January 2007 grew by 64.4%
compared to the previous year and made $3.65 bn.
The trade balance in January was positive in the amount of $1.5 bn.

comparison with the analogical indicators of last year are given in the table
below:

The main purchasers of Kazakhstan goods within this period of time were
Italy - 18.1%, Switzerland - 16.8%, China - 11.7 and Russia - 10.1%.
