/IRBIS, Natalya Khoroshevskaya, March 2, 07/ - Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE) has determined leading operators of stock exchange's shares market in February, 2007.

Companies are ranked according to the stake of deals made by it in total gross turnover of trades (total of purchased and sold shares). At that, only operations of purchase and sale in secondary market are taken into account, excluding work of brokers with government blocks of shares (GBS). Position of each participant of trades is expressed in Kazakhstan tenge.

IRBIS would like to draw attention that since 2007 KASE has changed the methodology to calculate the rating while using for its preparation only data on deals, concluded on the stock exchange by open trades method. To say with different words, volumes of direct (nego) deals with securities since then has not affected positions of trades partakers in the exchange rating of the leading market operators.

A total of 36 companies participated in performing purchase and sale deals with shares on KASE. Below is the list of ten most active operators in descending order of their stakes in total deals volume (all headquarters are in Almaty, if the other is not given). Stake of these operators in February was 79.9% of turnover of the open exchange market of share instruments.

savings bank of Kazakhstan JSC, Perviy Brokerskiy Dom JSC, The financial
company Alliance Capital JSC and MONEY EXPERTS JSC, they have
replaced the following companies:

Tsesna Capital JSC (Astana, the first position in January, the previous title was DERBES SECURITIES JSC);

Almaty financial center JSC (Almaty, the seventh position in January);

Kazkommerts Invest JSC (Almaty, the eighth position in January);

Eximbank Kazakhstan JSC (Almaty, the ninth position in January).

Below is corresponding table of the most active KASE's members of "P" and "H" categories in the sector within the first 2 months of 2007. A total of 37 companies participated in performing deals within this period. The stake of "ten best" was 77.2% gross-turnover of purchase and sale deals with shares on KASE.
