TISCO to export from Kazakhstan 150 th tones of ferrochrome a year

/INTERFAX-CHINA, Shanhai, December 14, 06/ - TISCO, the biggest in China producer of stainless steel, made the long-term agreement with Kazchrome JSC about deliveries of 150 th tones of ferrochrome annually, the leadership of TISCO informed the agency Interfax-China. TISCO gets about 50% demanded raw materials by import contracts, the souse specified. In total, this company employs annually 300 th tones of ferrochrome. In August year 2006 TISCO started the construction of the plant with the capacity at 1.5 m tones of stainless steel a year in China. Subsequently the company plans to raise this indicator to 2 m tones annually. If these plans are executed, TISCO will become the biggest producer of the stainless steel in the world. Kazchrome joins together Aktubinskiy (in Aktyubinsk region of Kazakhstan, in the west) and Aksayskiy ferroalloys plants (in Pavlodar region, in the north), Donskiy mining and smelting enterprise (in Aktyubinsk region) and Kazmanganese (in Karaganda oblast, in the center).
