/REUTERS, Almaty, October 11, 06/ - Turgay Petroleum, joint venture of Russian LUKOIL and PetroKazakhstan, controlled by Chinese CNPC, won suit for $54 m. against PetroKazakhstan, informed the company. Supreme court of Kazakhstan "confessed that as a consequence of forced extraction of oil of PetroKazakhstran in 1999-2003 an overflow of oil occurred from contract territory Turgay Petroleum on Kumkol field to contiguous contract territory PetroKazakhstan," is reported in the message. Turgay Petroleum declared against one of its founders in the period when several companies, including LUKOIL, tried to acquire PetroKazakhstan.
