The shareholders with the stake of ownership of common shareholdings of Kazakhtelecom JSC as of July 1 are holding of state assets' management Samruk (55.6%), BODAM B.V. (16.9%), The Bank of New York (10.2%), Сentral Аsian Industrial Holdings N.V. (9.6%). The decree about creation of state holding Samruk the president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev had signed in the end of January of this year. The Government had determined five national companies state stakes of which had to be delivered to the holding at the first stage: Kazakhtelecom JSC, Kazpochta JSC, company of electrical networks' management KEGOC JSC, oil and gas company NC KazMunayGas JSC, and national railway company Kazakhstan temir joly JSC (KTJ).
