KASE determined the leading operators of exchange's repo market in September and within the first 9 months of 2006

/IRBIS, Valeriy Khegay, October 2, 06/ - Kazakhstan stock exchange
(KASE) has determined the list of companies - leading operators of stock
exchange's repo market in Kazakhstan in September of 2006.
Companies are ranked according to the stake of deals made by it in total
gross turnover of trades (total of purchased and sold instruments on repo
opening and closing transactions). At that, all repo deals were taken into
account regardless of the sector (automatic repo or nego deals method) and
the subject of repo (government or corporate securities). Position of
participant was expressed in currency of the payments - tenge.
A total of 54 companies participated in making of deals in KASE's repo
sector in September excluding the National Bank. Below is the list of ten
most active operators, which controlled 66.1% of this sector of the stock
exchange's market, given in descending order of their stakes in total deals
volume (all headquarters are in Almaty, if other is not pointed).

asset management JSC (Almaty, the eighth position in August), PAIMO
GRANTUM Asset Management JSC (daughter organization of
Kazkommertsbank JSC) (Almaty, the ninth position in August) and KG
Securities JSC (Karaganda, the tenth position in August).

within the first 9 months of 2006. A total of 60 companies participated in
making of deals in this period, besides the National Bank.
