/IRBIS, Assel Omarova, July 4, 06/ - For the first six months of 2006 volume
of corporate bonds purchase and sale transactions made on Kazakhstan
stock exchange (KASE), including initial offerings and state blocks of shares
(SBS) trade, reached equivalent of $1,800.2 m. (KZT227.8 bn.) and
compared to similar period of last year increased by $84.3 m. (in tenge
equivalent decreased by KZT916.7 m.) or by 4.9% (in tenge equivalent - fall
by 0.4%).
In 2005 volume of corporate bonds purchase and sale deals on KASE was
the equivalent of USD1,715.8 m. or KZT228.7 bn.
