/IRBIS, Assel Omarova, July 3, 06/ -For the first six months of 2006, volume of government securities (GS) purchase and sale transactions on Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE), including bonds of domestic executive bodies made KZT276.7 bn. ($2,189.9 m.) and decreased by 20.4% (by 17.1% in USD).

In the whole of 2005 the volume of corresponding GS transactions on KASE was KZT631.8 bn. ($4,754.2 m.).

Below is given the table of volumes of GS purchase and sale deals made on KASE in 2006 grouped by months as well as the structure of the turnover and comparable data of 2005 (KZT, m.).
