Within 5 months of 2006 volume of all transactions on KASE grew 1.5 times in comparison with similar period of 2005

/IRBIS, Sergey Yakovlev, June 5, 06/ - Within the first five months of 2006 total volume of transactions made in all sectors of Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE) reached equivalent of $46,482.7 m. or KZT5,954.8 bn. Compared to similar period of 2005 volume of transactions has increased by 47.7% measured in dollars and by 44.6% measured in tenge. Relative to previous five-month period (August - December of 2005) stock exchange's turnover has increased by 42.6% measured in dollars and 36.0% measured in tenge. Following is the comparative table of volumes of deals made on KASE in January-May of 2006, as well as dynamics of the turnover structure of the exchange's market (m. USD, unless otherwise specified).
