Knowledge, data, market: KASE's educational initiative for the media

KASE held a practical seminar for journalists on financial literacy and the intricacies of work with market analytics.

The main goal of the event was to help journalists gain a deeper understanding of the stock market and work more effectively with the exchange analytics.

The participants listened to presentations from KASE and regulator experts:

• Temirlan Tailykbayev (Team Lead of the KASE Academy) provided a detailed overview of structure of the domestic stock market, principles of exchange trading, clearing and settlement;
• Zhansaya Karabayeva (Chief Product Officer of KASE) shared life hacks for work with market data - from analyzing the indices and quotations to interpreting them correctly in the materials;
• Gadilbek Akim (Chief Specialist of the Financial Literacy Department of the Republic of Kazakhstan's Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market) spoke about government initiatives in financial education, development of digital educational platforms and new formats for communicating with the public.
  
  At the end of the meeting, the participants analyzed common mistakes found in financial publications and examined practical case studies. Such meetings help journalists acquire practical tools for high-quality and professional coverage of capital markets events.
