Digital assets and digital financial assets on KASE
The digital asset market based on the Exchange is functioning in an isolated mode to limit systemic risks
What are digital financial assets and unsecured digital assets?
By investing on the KASE platform, you gain access to two types of instruments:
Digital financial assets (DFA)
A digital asset certifying the right to a monetary and/or other claim in relation to an underlying asset, or a financial instrument issued in electronic digital form on the operator’s digital platform. The rights under DFA are confirmed based on entries in the Central Securities Depository (CSD) registry system, which have unconditional priority.
Unsecured digital assets (DA)
A digital asset that is not a digital financial asset, which value is determined solely by supply and demand in the market and is not backed by tangible property. Only assets included in the KASE's approved list are admitted to trading on the platform
The platform's technological infrastructure utilizes distributed data platform technologies, with BitGo serving as the storage provider. The infrastructure ensures completion of settlement on the day of transaction (atomic settlement) based on the principle of simultaneous fulfillment of obligations by all parties to the transaction (DvP)
Categories of DFA by type of underlying asset
Stablecoins
DFAs which underlying asset is the national or foreign currency (money).
Tokenized assets
DFAs which underlying asset is the financial instruments (including securities), property rights, goods or other property, with the exception of money.
Digital financial instruments (native issues)
