Millhouse to buy a small oil company in Kazakhstan - newspaper
/REUTERS, Moscow, September 9, 05/ - Millhouse Capital, an investment company of Russian oil billionnaire Roman Abramovich, wants to buy assets in Kazakhstan, Vedomosti business daily on Friday quoted a source close to negotiations as saying.
The source said shareholders' representatives had been in talks with small company BMB Munai since the start of the summer to buy a controlling stake in it, the source said.
Millhouse Capital also wants to buy other unnamed assets in oil-rich Kazakhstan.
"Millhouse regards the region as a place where they can invest money from asset sales in Russia," the source said.
A source close to BMB Munai said bidders for the company also included state-owned China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC).
