FROM JULY 1, KASE BEGAN CALCULATING AND PUBLISHING NEW INDICATOR OF CORPORATE BOND MARKET
/KASE, July 9, 2026/ – From July 1, 2026, the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) calculates the total face value of corporate bonds placed in the domestic market by residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Unlike the current corporate debt indicator, which takes into account bonds of both residents and non-residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the new indicator allows to separately assess volume of funds raised by Kazakhstan's issuers in the domestic capital market.
The representative list for calculating the indicator is formed by KASE based on information on the number of placed bonds and the opening of trading in the secondary market for the relevant bond issues.
The indicator value is calculated once a day on weekdays at 17:30 Astana time and published on the KASE's website in the section "Indices - Stock Market - Corporate Bonds" - learn more
The corresponding amendments have been made to the KASE's internal document "Methodology for calculating the stock market indices and indicators" and came into effect on July 1, 2026.
