Review of KASE equity market in March 2026
/KASE, April 3, 2026/ – Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) presents a brief overview of the equity market for March 2026.
As of the end of March 2026, shares of 89 names of 76 issuers were on KASE trading lists, of which shares of two names of two issuers were admitted to trading in the "Unlisted securities" sector.
Based on results of March 2026, the equity market capitalization amounted to 46.3 trln tenge ($96.2 bn), which is 1.6 trln tenge, or 3.6%, higher than the previous month.

Share trading volume in March 2026 amounted to 28.7 bn tenge, an increase of 17.8%, or 4.3 bn tenge, compared to February. The average daily trading volume was 1.6 bn tenge, with the average daily number of transactions being 11,043 and the average transaction value being 144,300 tenge. Share trading in March took place exclusively on the secondary market.
Among the main categories of investors in the secondary market, the most active were individuals, who accounted for 53.4 % of the gross stock trading turnover, followed by banks at 0.2 %, broker-dealer firms at 23.3 %, other institutional investors at 2.6 %, and other legal entities at 20.5 %. Non-residents accounted for 8.4 %.
The KASE Index value increased by 0.3 % in March and reached 7,734.60 points by the end of the month.
The volume of index share transactions in March 2026 amounted to 25.8 bn tenge, 7.0 bn tenge higher than in February. The largest trading volume was in common shares of National Company "KazMunayGas" JSC, amounting to 6.1 bn tenge (23.6 % of the total index share trading volume).
