KASE releases on own website review of business activity index in Kazakhstan for June 2025
/KASE, July 8, 2025/ – Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) has published on its website a review of the Index of Business Activity in Kazakhstan (BAI) for June 2025, which was prepared by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan based on the results of a monthly survey of enterprises and includes a set of enterprises' answers to questions regarding actual changes in economic indicators of enterprises and expectations regarding their change in the future.
The BAI is an indicator that characterizes the state of the economy in the real sector, allows you to explore the dynamics of economic trends, critical and turning points of the business cycle.
According to the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
"In June 2025, business activity slowed down, but the indicator remained in positive side.
Sustained activity was observed in production, service, and trade, where the indicators remained in positive area, amounting to 51.7, 51.2, and 51.4, respectively (compared to 53.5, 51.1, and 52.4 in May). In construction and the mining industry, business activity remained in the declining area. The index in construction was 44.7 (49.6 in May). In the mining industry, the decline was less pronounced – from 48.9 in May to 48.1 in June".
