Overview of KASE equity market in April 2025
/KASE, May 8, 2025/ – Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) presents a brief overview of the equity market based on the results of April 2025.
As of the end of April 2025, shares of 96 names of 81 issuers were on KASE trading lists, of which shares of two names of two issuers were admitted to trading in the "Unlisted securities" sector.
According to the results of April 2025, the capitalization of the equity market amounted to 31.1 trln tenge (60.7 bn USD), which is 651.4 bn tenge, or 2.1 %, lower than the previous month.

The volume of stock trading in April amounted to 48.2 bn tenge, an increase of 147.8 %, or 28.7 bn tenge, compared to March. The average daily trading volume was 2.2 bn tenge, the average daily number of transactions was 8,002, and the average volume of one transaction was 273.7 thousand tenge. Stock trading in April took place exclusively on the secondary market, with Bank CenterCredit JSC buying back 1.2 mln of its common shares for 2.6 bn tenge at special trading sessions.
Among the main categories of investors, individuals accounted for 46.8 % of the total volume of transactions with shares, banks – for 1.7 %, broker-dealer organizations – for 6.6 %, other institutional investors – for 2.2 %, and other legal entities – for 42.7 %. The share of non-residents was 5.3 %.
KASE Index's value fell by 0.6 % in April and by the end of the month amounted to 5,622.10 points.
The volume of transactions with index shares in April 2025 amounted to 19.3 bn tenge, which is 1.0 bn tenge higher than the figure for March 2025. The largest trading volume was in common shares of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC – 4.7 bn tenge (24.3 % of the total trading volume with index shares)*.
